ISO 28000

This international standard identifies the requirements of a supply chain security management system applicable to organizations of all sizes, from small to multinational, engaged in manufacturing, service, storage or transportation at any stage of the production or supply chain.

Security management is linked, not only with aspects of business management, but also includes all activities controlled or influenced by organizations that have an impact on the security of the supply chain, and must be considered directly, where and when they have an impact on security management including the transport of such goods throughout the supply chain.

ISO 28001 REQUIREMENTS


The requirements of this international standard include the establishment, application, maintenance, and improvement of a security system throughout the supply chain or in the scope of the company.

Establish a policy for supply chain security management and compliance.

Compliance with stakeholders and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Maintain a documented system in accordance with ISO 28000.
  • Keep the scope of the certification clearly defined.
  • Maintain evidence of implementation of the management system for at least 3 months. *Recommendation.
  • Maintain internal auditors with the competence to perform internal audits.
  • Maintain records related to at least one internal audit.
  • Maintain evidence of the implementation related to documented processes, record control, actions taken, internal audits, among others.
  • Maintain records related to management's commitment, where compliance with all the requirements established by the standard is ensured.
  • Ensure that the defined policy and objectives are related and documented in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 28000 standard.
