The FSSC Development program is based on the requirements of CODEX HACCP, GFSI Global Markets, and the FSSC 22000 framework. It is an easy-to-use program suitable for organizations that wish to develop and improve their safety management systems but cannot achieve GFSI-recognized certification in one step.
FSSC Development Program is applicable for small and medium sized organizations in national and international food industry markets in the food manufacturing, food service, retail and wholesale, transportation and warehousing sectors.
To obtain the statement of conformity, the organization must implement the requirements of the FSSC Development Program.
The program has a level-based approach (Level 1 and Level 2). Once conformity is achieved, the organization may decide to remain at a specific level, move to the next level, or progress towards full FSSC 22000 certification.
The FSSC Development Program promotes compliance with applicable local legislation/regulations in the country where the site is located. *Information regarding the implementation of Level 1 and Level 2 of the program is available at: fssc.com/development/developmentprogram/, where you can download the documents free of charge.
